JOANNE MITCHELL
Joanne Mitchell is an actor, stage director and drama
teacher. She holds a bachelor of Arts degree in Drama from Queen's
University, and a master of Arts degree in Drama from the University of
Toronto.
Joanne has been teaching drama to children for many years and is currently
the drama coach for the Canadian Children's Opera Chorus, as well as The
Toronto Beaches Children's Chorus. She also writes and adapts plays for
children to perform.
Selected acting credits include Malvolio in Twelfth Night (Alchemy
Theatre), the Evil Queen in Sleeping Beauty, Mrs Jiggs in The Adventures of
Jillian Jiggs and an ugly stepsister in Cinderella (Solar Stage Children's
Theatre).
Joanne is currently directing a new opera, "Dragon in the Rocks",
for the CCOC which will be performed at the ROM Theatre in the Spring of
2008.
